SOPHELLE, my blog is renamed
trainers: superga, velvet leggings: vintage, BRMC t-shirt: 'and finally' at topshop, cardigan: charity shop, holographic bag: h&m.
sorry for being a bit off with blogging the last month or so, since i've been spending all day everyday at Tank magazine for my internship over the past six weeks.. i've had literally no time to sit down let alone do any outfit posts or blogging. by the time i got home every night it was pitch black outside.
i loved every minute at Tank, i met some wonderful and interesting people, contacts and friends and i'm so grateful to everyone for being so welcoming, friendly and helpful. i learnt so much and did so much - its made me want to intern everywhere! (however, i definitely need a paying job to fund it as well!)
so now i'm free from university for summer, free from Tank and i haven't a clue what to do with myself! i'm currently looking for another job to fund glastonbury(!!) and whatever i get up to this summer. i have my heart set on one vacancy in town so fingers crossed!
i'm sorry my outfit posts have resorted to phone&mirror snaps every time now. i find it much easier with my iphone than with my slr - and to be honest... i much prefer a more low resolution version of myself. this was a random productive sunday outfit i quickly captured on a weekend day off work, comfy chilled and mis-matched - just how i like it!
i've also changed my blog name again - for the last time in a while i promise!! this ones for keeps.
welcome to sophelle. i've officially said goodbye to baby goth girl (besides my tumblr account), and having my full name as a blog name was never a permanent thing so here's an amalgamation of my names wrapped into one cutesy french sounding word - wahoo! tell your friends ;)

a bit of beauty
a cutesy little post of various beauty bits i've acquired over my past month and a half of working at tank magazine! i've finished my internship there now.. it went so so so fast! i met some amazing people and got to do so much with my time there, assisting and observingn fashion shoot and films, helping write an article for their online site and attending press days on their behalf! i'm truly appreciative and thankful to bobby, elizabeth, sara, naomi, ellen and gemma!
this keith haring inspired - limited edition of DKNY's infamous apple bottle 'fresh blossom' is the best thing ever, with a much stronger take on floral than the original along with the best graphic packaging in the world - it was screaming for me to pick it up.
i'm also slightly in love with this lipstick from estee lauder. its a vibrant shade of pink with a sheer matte finish - it stays put for the majority of the day and i've found that it's a handy shape to find in your bag too! i would definitely purchase other shades of this lipstick too - it's pretty amazing.
i also picked up this ciate nail polish - it's dark colour and pigment called to me and reminded me of a more vibrant version my favourite polish and blog's old name sake 'baby goth girl' by MAC.
i'm yet to use this protection spray, as i'm horrible to my hair and never even condition it let own protect it from the insane amounts of heat abuse it gets. however, the packaging is amazing - i'm such a sucker for illustration on anything - however, i'll hopefully report back with reviews in due course.

topshop unique A/W13 press preview
yesterday i was lucky enough to attend the topshop unique a/w 2013 press preview at rook & raven gallery on behalf of TANK magazine with bobby hook. the atmosphere was lovely and we were served tea and blood orange juice on entrance and were given a lovely matte black lookbook to take back to the office, i watched the collection on live stream back in february but it was beautiful to see the clothes in real life, you can then appreciate the work and craft that has gone into them.
it was all about subtle clashes and juxtaposition in my eyes. the looks towards the middle/end of the show line up were my favourite pieces - simplistic, layered, structures and full of texture. the dusty pink/brown schemes totally clashed with the black and red palettes that opened the show but somehow they worked together, flowing seamlessly. they also got away with a collection combining outfits of shaggy shearling fur, checks, sequins as well as patent leather. i honestly don't know how they did it!
the gallery was also set up with boutique clothing as well as pre-fall collections and accessories.
