matt cardle and manic-ness.

day three, last day
we woke early again, and got ready.. we walked straight to camden town underground and attempted to get to leicester square. in rush hour.

the tubes were completely packed! so me and my dad and brother squeezed ourselves onto the first train whilst gabby, mam, helen, lewis and gary got on the second.

look it is confusing ahahah...

little did we know that our first train turn off the wrong way, and headed for angel instead of leicester square. anyway, we ended up on three different lines to try to get us back to leicester square, but somehow we ended up in covent garden first.. we just stayed there and waited for the others to walk down..

while we waited dominic spotted matt cardle from the x factor walking up the road! hahaha.. naturally my dad stopped him and asked if we could get a picture with him. it was prett surreal to be honest. loads of peopl started to gather round and these two girls started screaming "where's one direction?! ahahaha" fools.
matt finally got away only to be stopped again by gary and helen further up the street! which was pretty funny. he seemed really nice and he had DEFINITELY had a spray tan. it must of been for that weekend live shows and it was wearing off. he was dead patchy.

so we got to covent garden and had breakfast in ponti's and had a stroll round urban outfitters and we went to see the pineapple dance studios to see if we could see anyone else, like we saw louis before. sadly, it was pretty empty so dominic just leaped around dancing outside and my mam did ballet on the window :')

douche. we then went back to leicester square for a while..

we got the tub back to oxford street and did a last minute dash around bershka, topshop and new look. i got two pairs of boots and a paul's boutique purse! dominic got a new jacket and gabby got a bershka fur gillet.

we also needed to get a few odds and ends from camden market, so we dashed back there too.
it was now about 12.59pm, and we needed to check out of our hotel at 2pm. so a mad dash it was... me and gabby whizzed round the markets to find some more jesus-bracelets for madeline and a moonstone ring for me, some lush vintage levi shorts for me too which a little bit small but i WILL lose weight to fit into them. we bartered with the man in a stall for some I ♥ LONDON jumpers but they were a bit hacky so we waited for some better quality ones later on and ended up going back to the hotel to check out.

we checked out by the skin of our teeth then headed back to the high street. we finally got our london hoodies and then had to hectically wheel our suitcases through the underground to king's cross st. pancras. mad.

we stocked up on some erm, pretty random food shall we say: bananas, mozarella cheese + tomatoes in little pots, pasties, chocolate muffins, doritos, haribos and aweet chilli prawn tortilla wraps. lol.

we boarded the train and headed home :'( !!! - so not ready to leave london.

as you can see we did not wanna leave. i could've stayed another week really. but we played some more games, chilled and finally ended up in durham station. my nana picked us up and we drove home. watched tv for a while... then hit the hay.

london.

day two.

after our extremely early night i actually woke up wide awake at 6.30am. we got ready quickly and walked around the lock to take some pictures for photography at college etc. it was really weird seeing the place so quiet and calm compared to the hustle and hectic feel yesterday.

we then all had breakfast in wetherspoons, pancakes! mmmmm. here's dominic in wetherspoons.. deciding on what breakfast to have.

we then had another camden stroll and caught the tube into london city centre to hit the shops.

we then got the tube to oxford street. we hit the huge topshop first, and shopped every corner of it.. then bershka for gabby. its her favourite shop and was devastated when the last one in the north of the country closed .. so she got her fill in there.. haha.
i got a jumper and some wool leggings in topshop and a aviator jacket in bershka. then we ran out of time!! i was a bit pissed off that my mam dragged me out of the shops, but there was everyone else to consider too i suppose ;) hahah.

we then did a bit of sight seeing, we went to visit eros in piccadilly circus. i nipped into boots to buy some more colour film for my canon ae-1.

then we had a beautiful lunch in grace's - i had a thai green curry which was heavenly like..

our site-seeing map.

we then went to trafalgar square to visit nelson's column and the national portrait museum. the weather was beautiful.

we looked around the museum for a while... it was pretty ineresting. the detail on the really old royal portraits was astonishing and the contempory art was mind blowing. i didn't take these pictures though, you're not allowed to inside the museum.

blur portraits by julian opie.

one artist sculpted his own head out of pints of his own blood! it was kept inside frozen silicone and was really disturbing and weird but such a cool concept.
marc quinn was the artist who scupted his own self portrait from frozen blood. here's an article on it incase you're interested.. it's so weirdly wow.

queen elizabeth prints by andy warhol

we then went back to into camden... to get ready for WE WILL ROCK YOU at the dominion theatre at 7pm.

we got back and got ready.. (gabby's pictures cause i didn't take any..)

we will rock you was absolutely amazing. i'd like to be meat, or scaramouche any day! and i want all of the bohemian's costumes to wear everyday too.

sheer brilliance. i still haven't got any of the queen songs out of my head.

mamma mia mamma mia mamma mia let me go!
THUNDERBOLTS AND LIGHTENING VERY VERY FRIGHTENING!
i want it all, i want it allllll
who wants to live foreverrrrrrrrrrrrrr?
hey! i'm gonna get you too another one bites the dust.
don't stop me nowwwwww i'm having such a good time, i'm having a ball.
buddy you're a boy make a big noise playin' in the street gonna be a big man some day you got mud on your face, you big disgrace. kickin' your can all over the place singin WE WILL WE WILL ROCK YOU! *boom boom clap*

my first day in london this weekend.

LONDON.

got up like, insanely early to get ready and finish packing for london. diane came to pick us up and we set off for durham train station.
we ended up in the 'quiet coach' on the train.. trust us to accidentally reserve seats there. so basically we got looks and glares each time we laughed or made a noise haha.. couldnt help it.

we ate doritos, flicked through magazines and played the guess who you are game thing. i was ronan keating and the baby from the hangover (carlos) and a cow with no head and three legs just to name a few.
we made lewis be 'jesus christ' - which he couldn't get at all.
lewis you're an all round legend ... "bruce forsyth?!"
you died.. then came back to life ... "john lennon??"
think of christmas and easter ... "santa?!?!"

he got it in the end though ahahahha.

we then arrived at king's cross st. pancres station, LONDONNNNNN.

we then got a taxi to camden.. we were behind mr hudson in the taxi queue! he let me mam and helen in the taxi before him, all chivalry like and full of manners, holding the door open for them. then quickly hopped in the next taxi, popped his sunglasses on and away he went! mental - we'd been there for all of fifteen minutes?

so we got to camden! i officially love camden! first of all the camden lock is really pretty and our hotel was right on it..

and the streets were packed, lively and bursting with music and the smell of eastern food.

we wandered around the markets, they were heaving.. busy sunday. there was so much to see and do, so many quirky, weird and wonderful characters strolling around. i wanted to take pictures of them but i was scared incase i got beaten up off them hahah.

we went back to the hotel and waited for gary to arrive, he'd came down on a separate train then we went back to the markets..

we had pizza express for tea.. dad ended up in the women's toilets at one point. hilariousssss.

we then walked back round camden and chilled out in the hotel, what a long day! squeaky tap incident. hahaha.
gabby didn't feel to well so we ended up back in our already messy hotel room to catch x factor and an early night, ready to get up early for the next day in landaaan.

look at our hotel room already....

our beautiful london view ahahahha, and our spy hole!
