i went for a little bit of a print clash today, polka dots and snake print combined with trusty black! i don't really know why.. i do like the whole major print clash trend that flickered through SS2012 shows, so i translated it to my not-so-bright-and-in-your-face wardrobe.

then i met up with two friends, sophia and alice. we'd planned to go visit a little exhibition at the ICA, but it was shut - typical. so we sat in the park and soaked up the sun for a while.. then went to see saz's boyfriend timothy at work in this newly opened little café curator's coffee studio near monument, in london. the interior design is beautiful too, a play on balancing out opposites. old vs. new industrial space, natural wood vs. man made metal.
the counters made with a feature piece of weathered wood, covered in metallic spray paint. the turquoise door frames matched the shiny new drinks machines. the handwritten menu's hung on mauve hessian cloth behind the innovative ipad till system. however, i love the little touches the best. the tiny, handle-less mugs of tea and the vintage looking drawer set (home to the coffee condiments) that was attached to a grey breezeblock wall.
