so quick, so simple and so delicious to make! it's a lighter pasta dish with a horrendously creamy or calorie laden sauce - beautiful!
i found this recipe whilst perusing pinterest and thought it sounded too good to try out! i tweaked it to suit my tastes though - fettucine over linguine pasta and basil over parsley.
ingredients:
- 1 slice of white bread
- 2 tablespoons of olive oil
- pasta (i will leave that up to your preferences!)
- 1/4 cup of fresh basil
- 6 garlic cloves (i used 3)
- 2 teaspoons of fresh lemon juice
- 1/2 teaspoon of salt
- 1/4 teaspoon of cracked black pepper
- a sprinkle of finely grated parmesan cheese (added by me)
i just had to share it, the lemon and garlic breadcrumbs blend so well with the pasta, giving such a tasty texture. the pepper and basil are the perfect complementing tastes too. yum yum yum
i think it would also be perfect if you added peppered king prawns, prosciutto ham, or chicken. the possibilities are endless!
