denim and lace

just a quick post to show off a recent ebay buy! i bought these lace trim biker/cycle shorts from this seller on ebay for about £3.99, with free p+p. they came within two days and i'm so happy! they fit perfect and go with practically all of my shorts, skirts and dresses.

i have been looking at getting some for a while - so after seeing various lookbookers (like the one i've posted below) and also when i spotted a few posts by basic appeal featuring them. they add a little bit of detail to a simple outfit and cover some dignity when wearing very short dresses or a pair of short shorts!

p.s - the studded shorts i'm wearing them with in the first picture are really old from primark, they probably weren't the best shorts to show off the lace trims with, but i assure you they look good under a lot!

p.p.s - i'm now considering buying a white pair too!

i need the allegra boots in my life, if they haven't sold out by my birthday - they shall be mine. along with the majority of this little collection i'm assuming.

anyone else craving autumn winter now just to wear the pretty new season stock in the high street? or is it just me..

window shopper

since i can't actually go out shopping yet as i'm still in recovery. the lure of online shopping has steadily increased over the last few days. sadly though, i'm still broke - so i cant spend the last of my money on clothes, but on birthday presents for friends! i can't say what i've bought her yet, just incase she reads this - but i love and want it myself!

so, i've composed a little wishlist of pictures i took last time i visited good old oxford street. urban outfitters to be exact. i've been meaning to blog the pictures for ages, but i've only just found the time!

i love urban outfitters, the clothes are a perfect mix of vintage and contemporary, like no other high street brand i can think of. up until now i've only had the pleasure of visiting the store when i'm in london or manchester, the northeast has never been blessed with UO. however, i love how newcastle is finally getting a store in october - just as i move down south, typical!


if i get any birthday money, i am definitely buying these. i love my black docs and i need this colour in my life..


satchels, satchels, satchels.. i think i'm obsessed. they're all variations on a theme but i cant get enough of them - give me more please.

i'm housebound for a while now. i'm bored out of my brains, but i can't be bothered to do anything. i can't sleep very well and i'm a bit down in the dumps to be honest. i took these pictures at the end of last week - i still have a little bit of my corfu tan left!

i love this t shirt, well if you've followed for a while you'll know my slight skull obsession. these shorts are new favourites too, vintage style and high waisted.

i have fallen in love with the nail varnish i'm wearing here, i borrowed from my friend gabby whilst on holiday. it was limited edition so now i'm scouring every corner of ebay for it!

i also love this new top i got from topshop, you know me - fascinated by anything skeletal or gothic. so it was a must. i like how it fits too, it's not too clingy - making it great for the dreaded, but ever more frequent 'fat days'

p.s. once again, i apologise for the shoddy webcam outfit post. i will start taking more on my SLR once i shift the post-holiday fat and find confidence.. it must be somewhere! so, this is probably the last time my face will creep up on my blog until about september time. i'm having a little operation tomorrow afternoon (eeeek!!) so i wouldn't really want to show you my, let's say.. worse for wear state. hopefully all will go smoothly and i shall be back on form before long.

here's a few pictures from corfu. lazy nights chilling out on the beautiful beach, dancing on bar tops for free shots and laughing gas, getting the fit barman to take our picture with shots of red aftershock, the first cocktails of the holiday - complete with a jagerbomb/shot, dancing to boyzone, first night with the girlies, paddling on the safety of the shallow water after a few near death experiences on the inflatables you see behind us and finally a last picture waiting for our transfer home complete with i ♥ corfu shirts, of course!

i am already missing corfu, and i only got back this afternoon. if you didn't know, since i never blogged about it here.. i have been to corfu with my three best friends for the past week, and loved every second. so here's a little blog post about some of the goodies i came home with!

firstly, i love duty free. the perfect time for me to stock up on my new favourite perfume! daisy - eau so fresh by marc jacobs is absolutely divine. so i couldn't resist getting a bigger bottle now i had a bit of money saved.

i also got the cutest little corfu shaped bottle of ouzo, a greek souvenir must! for those who haven't tried this drink, you should. it can be drunk as a shot, or with a mixer.

on the plane home i bought the blogged to death naked palette after seeing it almost everywhere! i got so jealous i needed it, so when i saw it with a fiver off in the duty free in-flight brochure it had to be mine!


i really can't wait to try it out, i'll blog about it soon! my favourites by look alone are sin, sidecar, virgin, hustle, gunmetal and half baked! however, i shall keep you informed!


me and gabby both bought this gorgeous photo album to fill with images of the holiday, i did the same when i went to disneyland paris in november last year so i figured i'd keep up the tradition!

also pictured in the top picture is a pack of corfu playing cards, a sandstone/goldstone necklace, an anklet, a black sparkly square ring and a corfu charm keyring.
