zante

hi everyone, i've been back from zante a few days now and im sorry i haven't posted, i've got some much on my 'to do' list! i'm moving to epsom in like less than a fortnight and i'm so unorganised. i have a summer project to do, a room to decorate, jobs to apply for and a whole load of file transferring to do to my new macbook pro!

so here's a few quick scenic snaps from zante, what a beautiful island. we took a boat trip around the whole island in a day and it was breathtaking. we got to dive in the crystal clear sea and sunbathe in the most beautiful coves.

my little brother bought a kodak playsport zx5 under water HD video camera ...and it's too funny! we now have so many horrendous pictures and videos of us all messing around in the sea/pool.

anyway, i took a whole load of pictures of my outfits and accessories while i was there, so i do have a few blog posts lined up once i transfer all my things from my old laptop.

okay so here's pictures from today. i decided against buying a macbook - it feels to rushed at the minute, so i'll purchase one when i get home from zante next sunday!

i got some highlights through the front of my hair which you can see in the first picture, at toni + guy. i didn't really like them at first, i need more through my fringe, but i shall just DIY it next week. also, i should really wear this shirt more often, i do like it when it's on. but it's one of those things that just hangs in my wardrobe and gets lost.

i love my two charm bracelets, i think i'm going to just get one charm for each then stop. a skull charm for my thomas sabo, and i'm undecided which charm to go for from the vivienne collection.

finally, the ring is a £1.50 purchase from topshop, i cant remember the original price but it was well over £10 - chuffed.

just quick little outfit post today, however.. these pictures were from a few days ago. i'm in for a busy day today, i have a hefty 'to do' list. consisting things like.. hunting out a beautiful little lamp that becky tweeted about yesterday here, visiting jenna and amy whilst they're work, buy birthday presents, but some new camera film, getting sorted for a meal with the girls tonight, packing frantically as i'm heading to zante in the early hours of tomorrow and also... possibly buy a macbook (recommendations for different macbooks are more than welcome - i'm a novice and i need help!)

a couple of pictures from yesterday.. god it was a long day! i was wide awake up at 6am franticallu refreshing my ucas to get my university status and refreshing my email to get my a level results! i was overwhelmed and so happy with i read them!

totally over the moon, i worked so hard in photography and graphics. people seem to think arty subjects are cop outs or easy options, but the amount of time and dedication outside of college hours to get the grades in unbelievable. i spent countless nights working on my coursework files: annotating everything, coming up with ideas in the first place, analysing and evaluating all my work, physically taking the time to create my work, testing out every technique i used - then writing them up, researching artists and describing how they inspire me, the list goes on!

i'm now officially going to study 'fashion promotion & imaging' at the university for the creative arts, UCA in epsom! wahoooooo.

so to celebrate, i went shopping first and foremost (birthday money was burning a hole) - i bought these things which i'll outfit post soon, as this collage does them no justice. the oversized cream top and the purple gemstone earrings were both topshop. the floaty snake print dress was from love at topshop and the tuxedo style necktie shirt was from river island.

then i went out to sunderland for the night, it was really good!

i've been meaning to blog these for a while. it's a shoot i did with one of my best friends. we originally took inspiration from the song 'geek in the pink' by jason mraz, however.. without adding the geek elements, these photographs were produced.

i really enjoy photographing abby, she's so beautiful and insanely photogenic. she bought the dress from a vintage fair in york that we visited. hopefully we're going again soon! i used my canon ae-1 with a 50mm lens. i love working with film.

as if i got a mulberry bag!!!!!!!! unreal - i love it. other new things are both my necklaces and my gorgeous topshop jacket, i linked everything you can find online in the outfit list just above.

me, mam, dad and my brother went to a restaurant called fat buddha in durham today, it's gorgeous in there. i had crispy shredded beef salad for starters, then thai green chicken curry for my main. when i got home i had warm birthday cake and ice cream for dessert - yum!

the jacket was a topshop must-have that i noticed on topshop.com last week. i practically live in my topshop biker jacket so another wouldn't go amiss. this fur collared, quilted, belted black ensemble was absolutely perfect for me and it had to be purchased. my grandma offered to pay for it for my birthday, because they were selling out so quickly!

my shoes weren't a birthday gift, they were a reasonably good priced alternative for those beautiful spiked christian louboutin slippers yeah?

i'm eighteen years old today!

today is my 18th birthday. i've had an amazing day so far.. just going to relax to night - then have a good night out on friday! wahooooo. dad decorated the whole downstairs in balloons banners and streamers. all pink and purple.


last night at 12am my mam, dad and brother suprised my with pink champagne and 18 candles whilst singing happy birthday to me! it was so sweet haha.

i got the most beautiful tiffany & co key necklace, amongst other goodies. i'll do a big post tomorrow! i absolutely love how the key itself has a little tiffany inscription on the side and a 'T' for tiffany making up the bottom of the key itself! beautiful.

i've been so spoilt and i'm so lucky, i'm also so sooo unbelievably grateful.

anthemic

i had an absolutely lovely afternoon yesterday. i had a early birthday party because that everyone is busy through the week (my birthday is tomorrow!). my mam made lovely cupcakes and my dad was in charge of cocktails for a houseful of people. my birthday cake is beautiful. i'll blog about it and my presents tomorrow.

i was allowed to open some presents yesterday because people wanted to see me open what they'd bought me, i'll post pictures soon but i got things from pandora, thomas sabo, chanel, chapman's jewellery, lola rose, purple haze (an amazing vintage shop in york!) and julian macdonald.

i think i still have some things to open tomorrow, from my gran, brother and parents.

anyway, a quick outfit post. i wore this outfit on saturday to go shopping and get my hair done at toni + guy, i had some highlights but in around my face, i still feel like putting a few more in though.

both from warehouse i'm struggling to decide which i want. i'm going to buy it way oversized and nice and baggy, well hopefully - if it looks alright.

leopard print's been popular for quite a while and i do still completely love it, but the snake print is so huge for autumn/winter 2011, so i may be leaning towards that. what do you think? i'd love opinons.

after seeing llymlrs wearing a lovely deep orange yayer cardigan and reading this tweet, i had a quick look on their website and became obsessed. i pretty much love everything.

all the pieces look so versitile and i love the grungey styling, right up my street!

i'd really love to grunge down my style a bit more, i've always been a little goth at heart, hence why i felt 'baby goth girl' was an apt blog name for me once i saw bought that mac nail varnish. my old boss at new look always said i found a way to make the new look trends a bit "rock chick" hahah.

whenever i team a gothic lipstick or a few skull accessories with an already grungey or all-black outfit ..my parents don't approve. also, i don't think it's socially acceptable to wear black lipstick where i live.. too many chavs would make too many comments. so, i predict my inner goth will channel through at university, cant wait!
