bright lights big colour

i really love OPI nail varnish at the minute, i find that it only needs one or two coats for amazing colours that stay on for so long - perfect! i've built up a little collection. here's a few of my favourites so far. i've tried to describe the colours once they are out of the bottle too, but i'm no nail expert with my pigments, hues and tones!

(from left to right)
01. bright lights big colour - orange with pink undertones and a pearly lemon hue.
02. you're such a kabuki queen - bold bright pink, very summery solid colour.
03. acrylic nail base coat - not a polish but a life saver for strengthening nails.
04. lucerne tainly look marvelous - glittery charcoal grey with pearly silver tones.
05. you don't know jacques! - solid dark mushroom colour with purple undertones.
06. sparkle-icious - pink, blue, gold and silver glitter polish.

where i've said pearly, the polish is iridescent and where i've said solid, i mean a full creme finish, no pigment or sheen i guess. in the photographs below i'm wearing 'bright lights big colour' i find that it brightened up my gothic black outfit - i'm so weather appropriate. it's august but i'm in leather and wool.

two finger cross ring - jewellery by design at new look
skull ring - H! by henry holland

jumper - topshop
leather paneled trousers - h&m

both the jumper and trousers have featured on my blog before, i'm going to do a quick sweep of my wardrobe and start wearing/blogging clothes i've never shown before, incase you all die of boredom - i promise!

  1. I've never tried OPI before, i always make a beeline for the 17 section at Boots! I love these colours, and I love the cross ring. x

  2. I love your outfit and I've found myself having quite the OPI obsession of late, it started with all their limited edition collections. I think they often have shades that aren't anything like other brands, I love the look of the 'bright lights big colour' shade you have. x
