i thought i'd share my latest obsession with you. loafers.
i've bought three pairs recently, all from new look (i cant resist not getting 50% off with my staff card) i love them all, they're all so so so comfy too!

red velvet cupcakes.

we had a little cake sale at college to raise money for the disaster in japan, we made £50 from selling cakes.. here's the ones i made. chocolate flavoured red velvet cupcakes.








i'll write up the recipe in this post a little later but here's the finished result!!
i also made some little vanilla cupcakes too, with mini eggs - for easter!

just a quick make up post.. from the other day when i attempted (and attempted being the significant word here) the grunge rock make up look from topshop..



here's what i used...

left to right..

concealers - mac studio finish NW15

- and VIE correct + perfect

balm - topshop balm in rose

eyeliner - benefit bad gal kohl

mascara - topshop heavy duty mascara in carbon

(which i'm gutted about, because you cant get it anymore and i've ran out!)

lip gloss - rimmel stay glossy

foundation - clinique repairwear in 01 alabaster breeze

powder - MAC mineralize skinfinish natural in light medium

blusher - MAC mineralize blush in gentle

eyebrows - urban decay brow box in brown sugar

the VIE concealer is so strange - but so good! there are 4 types of concealer in there, two skin shades to blend, then a lilac one and a green one.
the green is used to even out redness and it really works, since i have patchy red patches of skin, and the lilac really brightens your eyes! i highly recommend it.

coursework days.

still not really that much to update with besides these rings i've made!

i'm completely skint and payday was only last week. i've bought three pairs of shoes, a jumpsuit, a dress and some dungarees. the rest went on my holiday deposit.

i'll post with my purchases once i have time but here's the rings i made! i bought some really cheap ring bases from ebay and used liquid metal to glue and weld my little trinkets into rings.

1. the first is a penny from disneyland paris of november 2010. you know those machines that stretch and stamp the penny then give you it back?

2. the second is a vintage brooch which i remastered. it was given to my nana by her late husband, and the figure i called my 'grandad' even though he wasn't. he was given it by his relative called maggy who i only ever met once. the brooch was beautiful but i will get more use from it now it's a ring.

3. the last is my lucky stone, it's goldstone.

goldstone is a man made rock with flecks of copper within it, to give it the glittery shine. it's the stone of my zodiac sign 'leo' and it also brings luck apparently. which is exactly why my mother bought me it about an hour before my most important university interview last month.

i kept it in my pocket the whole time but once i'd finished the interview and was travelling home i was ready to throw the rock out of the window! i thought i'd failed and i was pretty distraught at my performance. however, a few days later i got an email and verification on ucas track saying i'd recieved a conditional offer! the rock is now my new best friend.

since then three of my friends from work have rubbed it after i told them the story. lauren touched it then got two new look account openings in ten minutes! louise rubbed it for some luck with her exam results, she passed half of them when she thought she'd failed the lot!

i know it probably isn't lucky nor does it have any power over my fortune. but i like to think that okay?

so i also used up the last fiver of my pay on false eyelashes, i usually always stick by mac 7's and girls aloud nadene's but the new design of the cheryl's caught my eye!

i haven't tried them yet but i think the lightness of them will make them perfect everyday lashes! can't wait to try them out.

all i've done today is college work.. as you can see.

i decided to finally wear my vintage levi cut offs. i got them in london, camden to be exact in october last year but i've never really worn them yet.. because they are a bit small!

as you can tell be the crotch shot above. oops.

anyway, i'm starting my diet this week in order to finally lose some weight so that they will become a better fit. i didn't get a chance to get a picture of my full outfit so i will describe it to you.

road trips and mood rings

today i had an interview at university of central lancashire (uclan) so me and my mam drove down. we set off about about 7am!

this has been my university outfit for every interview! hahaha, how bad is that? (lookbook)

i had my interview, but i have mixed feelings about it really.. they didn't even look at my new updated portfolio!

one of the university buildings is insanely cool though, the photography studios are amazing. you can use their Canon 5d Mark II's and you have full use of lens choice as they have the entire canon lense range on campus. be right back as i faint!

we drove home and stopped off in a sweet little villiage..




i got the cutest little mood ring which i love! it cost like £2.
