coldplay at the stadium of light 07/06/2012

playsuit: yayer, chelsea boots: f+f at tesco, grey cardigan: h&m, waxed khaki jacket: primark.

my new playsuit from yayer.co.uk arrived yesterday, so i wore it for the coldplay concert at the stadium of light last night. i definitely didn't look like this by the time i got home at midnight, we got drenched to the bone and my make up was running down my face, but it was so worth it. anyway enough about my outfit, lets get to the gig..

oh my god, it was amazing. the whole production was unbelieveable. we were given two lots of wristbands on entry. one was your standard band, and the other was a mysterious band that we were told to put on because it was part of the show. it turned out that they all synchronised with the music and lights of the show. every wrist in the audience had one on, they flashed and were all different colour, it was unbelieveable beautiful to be part of.

support acts: were rita ora and robyn! two artists i love anyway, so it was just a bonus. rita looked amazing, i wish she'd had more songs to sing though. robyn was insanely good. she really gets into the music and i love her energy. here's where the torrential rain kicked in.. only sunderland.

coldplay came on with an unbelieveable opening playing mylo xyloto - fireworks, streamers, confetti and amazing light displays. it was the best set list: hurts like heaven, lovers in japan, the scientist, yellow, violet hill, princess of china, viva la vida, paradise, clocks, fix you and every teardrop is a waterfall to name a few!

chris threw his guitar in the air, broke his piano, lay down in the pouring rain singing and singing and had everyone in the stadium sing-along too. what a showman.

there were huge balloon like balls floating and bouncing all over the crowd for some songs, huge inflatable flames and creatures illuminated around the stage, lasers beaming into the crowd and huge pyschadelic projections shot into the sky above, the experience was incredible.

even if you're not a huge coldplay fan, i must admit i wasn't, try to go and see them at some point regardless, you wont regret it.

  2. Looks fab! Despite the pouring rain, then again - that's England! I haven't been to a Coldplay gig but I'd love to, I hear that they put on an amazing show and light effects. The huge balloons look ace!
