karl who?

i've been meaning to do this little DIY for ages now, my own version of the infamous 'karl who?' bag by naco paris. karl himself found the witty slogan flattering and was seen wearing the shopper bag several times. i love it personally.. it's funny, practical and pretty cool - yet so easy to make yourself.

01. firstly i bought a pack of five eco friendly canvas shopper totes form ebay, it worked out at about £1 per bag.. i used this seller, they're so reasonable.. you can also get up to packs of 100 bags!

02. i asked for these t-shirt graffiti pens last christmas would you believe it. however, i bought them myself form new look but you could get them on urban outfitters  too - and they've remained unopen since, waiting for me to buy things to decorate and scribble on until now!

03. then literally all you do it start scribbling! i sketched out lightly the basic lettering in bog standard HB pencil first to get the spacing right. used a picture of the original bag as a reference and built up the layers of pen for a deep, painted-on effect.

04. et voilĂ , you're done! finally to fix the pens so they dont run, smudge or fade ..just iron over the design on a medium heat to set it all. i'm so happy with the result!

jumper: topshop, tiny camera necklace: urban outfitters, spike necklace: therapy.
oh! one more things, this is a new jumper i purchased from topshop last week, i havent actually taken it off i love it soooo much. they come in a few colours, i bought this mink version and a cream one too - £26 each.
